Do you remember that recent video about explaining our beliefs about 1914? Watchtower probably thought of doing a similar video to explain the overlapping generation, but then they probably thought to themselves that by the time the video has been finished the generation teaching would have been changed to something different to what it currently is.

why didnt God just do this?
by sowhatnow infor one thing, i cant get past genesis, but no matter.. when god told adam and eve if you eat from the tree youll die.
so why did he not simple let them die and not allow the offspring to?.
you see, if i was a god, and i told two people that, id let them die , .

Yes you raise a good point - and especially in light of what Ezekiel 18 teaches. The idea of inherited sin contradicts Ezekiel 18, where the point is made that each one will answer for his own sin and mentions that a son will not have to pay for the sins of his father!
Here's another important point often missed: When arguing against hellfire, JWs sometimes ask the person: "Do you think it would be fair for God to not warn Adam that he would go to a place of torment when he died, if he ate the fruit? Surely God would have warned him about hell if it existed!"
Well, similarly, how could it be fair for God not to have warned Adam, before he sinned, that his disobedience would result, not only in his own death, but the death and suffering of countless generations of his offspring! Adam and Eve thought that they would die soon after eating the fruit. They were kept in the dark about the pain and suffering their actions would bring to billions of people, until after they had sinned.
And here's another point which exposes the dishonesty of Romans 5:18,19: If everyone is automatically condemned to death for Adam's sin, even without having to exercise faith in Adam or do any special works, then shouldn't everyone automatically be justified for life by Jesus' death, even without having to exercise faith in Jesus or do any special works? The undeserved kindness through Jesus is clearly not greater than the condemnation through Adam.
Here's some other interesting questions:
Is it a sin to just have sinful desires without acting on them?
If it is a sin, then how can a perfect being prevent himself from starting a sinful desire when its impossible to prevent a desire from coming into your heart without having to first think about it? How does a perfect angel startto have sinful thoughts, if he's perfect?
Also if sinful desires are a sin, then how is it that James 1:14,15 indicate that desire gives birth to sin, thus indicating that the desire itself cannot be a sin?
If it is not a sin, then doesn't that contradict what Jesus said at Matthew 5:28 and Mark 7:21-23?
On a lighter side: How could Jesus provide a corresponding Ransom when he wasn't fully equivalent to Adam? Jesus had some skin removed from down there, which technically makes him less the man than Adam was and therefore not a perfectly corresponding ransom.

Changed: Head coverings for sisters, w15 2/15 QFR
by wifibandit indoes a female kingdom publisher need to wear a head covering if she conducts a bible study in the presence of a male publisher?.
in a questions from readers item published in the watchtower of july 15, 2002, it was stated that a sister should cover her head if she conducts a bible study in the presence of a male publisher, whether he is baptized or not.
further consideration of the matter suggests that a modification to this direction is appropriate.. if the male publisher who accompanies the sister while she conducts an established bible study is baptized, the sister would certainly want to wear a head covering.

If a sister is wearing a weave or a wig, does that count as a head-covering seeing as it's not her own natural hair?
I have seen many sisters rightly despising the head covering arrangement by going minimal. They would put on a head band that covers just a littel more than half of their hair and using a color that is close to the color of their hair so that they don't look like they're wearing a head covering. It has the effect of looking more like a fashionable hairstyle than a head covering. I wish all sisters would do this so we can see if AM3 will start a pharisaic rant about the need for head coverings to cover all the hair and be more conspicuous.

If you raise this point with JWs, you know what they're likely to do? They likely to use your statement as proof that they have the truth by quoting this scripture:
(1 Corinthians 1:26-29) . . .For YOU behold his calling of YOU, brothers, that not many wise in a fleshly way were called, not many powerful, not many of noble birth; 27 but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put the wise men to shame; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put the strong things to shame; 28 and God chose the ignoble things of the world and the things looked down upon, the things that are not, that he might bring to nothing the things that are, 29 in order that no flesh might boast in the sight of God.
I think the above scripture shows that even the bible writers of the first century recognized that not many wise people were falling for their nonsense - that it was mostly the gullible and uneducated. With simple logic and philosophy available at the time, it was easy to poke holes in christianity. So as a means of counteracting this inconvenient fact, the above passage was written as a means of saving face and justifying christianity's propensity to attract the unwise or the "weirdos". LOL.

keep in mind that a lot of the practical advice Watchtower provides, especially in the Awake, doesn't actually originate with Watchtower. Much of it comes from other secular sources which Watchtower writers have researched. Watchtower then collates the information and presents it in an article. They then look for some scriptures that can be shoe-horned onto the secular adive that they've collated to make it seem like the advice comes from the bible - from Watchtower's deep spiritual insights into the bible. LOL.

That whole passage of scripture from Matthew 11:7 to Matthew 11:15 is about using John's noteriety to sell the appeal of being in the kingdom of the heavens.
In verse 11, Jesus is essentially saying to his audience: "But as impressive as John is, keep in mind that a less impressive one in heaven is still greater than John is."
Upon hearing this some of Jesus' disciples might be saying to themselves: "Well if John is the greatest of those born of women and he's still inferior to a lesser one in heaven, then who am I to be exerting myself to enter this kingdom? Who could possibly qualify? I don't stand a chance!"
Jesus tries to thwart such likely negative reasoning with his statement in verse 12:
"But from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of the heavens is the goal toward which men press, and those pressing forward are seizing it." In other words: "despite your thinking that's its impossible to qualify many men have being seeking it and they will succeed. So don't think that its impossible for you to qualify. Just exert yourself"
So Jesus was essentially using the fame of John to impress upon his audience that being in the kingdom of the heavens is something that they should crave even more than John's fame and spiritual standing. It's as if he's saying: 'You think John is impressive, do you? Well then reach out for the kingdom of the heavens because the glory and favor of a lesser one in such a position is even greater than theglory and favor that John currently has. So reach out for it and you can have it!"
Watchtower has overthought the verse to make it seem like Jesus was saying John wouldn't be in heaven. But that's not the point Jesus was making. If John would go to heaven he would then be greater than he was when on earth. So the comparison can't be seen as an indication or revelation that John wouldn't go to heaven. Jesus was comparing the standing of someone already in heaven with John's then impressive standing on earth. To illustrate the folly of Watchtower's reasoning. Imagine if Jehovah had told Samuel that the glory that the glory and raiment of a king is greater than that of the shepherdboy David. Would that have meant that David would not be appointed as king? No.

Monotheists my ass!!!
by Crazyguy inwe have been taught that the hebrews were monotheists believing and worshiping in only one god, except for those times when they sinned and worship pagan idol gods.
their one true god is yahweh / jehovah.
comparing the book of genesis with older sumerian and babylonian writings what do we find?

The findings at Ugarit certainly pulled the curtain on Yahweh, revealing his true, Canaanite origins.

BU2B, My advice to you is to talk to the elders in their congregation. Let the elders know that they have become unbalanced. Let the elders know that they are refusing work that is necessary to meet their needs - work that still allows them to attend all their meetings and pioneer - while their savings are quickly dwindling! Tell the elders about your Father's crazy comment about the job opportunity being from Satan. Hopefully the elders will offer them some counsil on the need to be more "balanced".

Doo doo darling, sugar dumpling
Don't get so mad
Please let me explain
If you see me with some woman
I doh (don't) want you misunderstand
Whatever you might see me do
Know my love is true
I'm not being unfaithful to you
De (The) woman you catch me with in de bed
Really didn't have no place to rest she head
Business close down, she lost she wuk (work/job)
Disappointed, suffering from shock
So ah (I) take she home just relax and cheer she up
And exhausted she said to me
'Boy ah so tired and so sleepy'
Casually she sat on de bed
And ask me to massage she leg
That's all, that's is all, that is all
[verse 2]
Trouble makers will spread rumours
For confusion, oh no doh take dem (them) on
Just be trusting and doh dig nothing
Try and understand
I'll never do you no wrong
Darling you I'll never deceive
There is no need to disbelieve
Keep your trust and your faith in me
And I promise you there'll be no infidelity
De lady you saw me with de other night

Not another ting (thing) eh (ain't) happen
Me and de gyul (girl) eh in nothin[g]
That's all, that's is all, that is all
[verse 3]
Let nobody cause you to be jealous and confused
Doh mind dem and their news
Dey want we to mash up
So dey could come and shack up
And when you refuse
We'll be like two fools singing the blues
Doo doo, why these women doh stop
Always try to set me up
Trying to give you de impression
Somethings wrong when my darling nothing eh going on
De gyul ah was with behind de lamp-post
Doh get vex cause ah was holding she clothes
She's ah old tief (thief) from in de east
Is somebody ear-ring she tief
Ah was only trying to hold she for de police
De reason me hand was in she bosom
Ah was feeling to see if she had a gun
She didn't have no gun by she chest
Is why ah was searching under she dress
That's all, that's is all, that is all
[verse 4]
Just because I am such ah nice guy
Somewhere, somehow it always leave me in row
Helping people, seem to be my trouble
